Simple. ....or maybe too simple? The more i thought about this the more i wondered, could there be more to that saying. I believed that the words were addressing ones integrity, How we act when no one is looking. Will we choose to do the right thing or the selfish easy thing?
Eventually i started added sentences to this saying. the words doors, remain, and what came to mind as i tried to wrap my brain around this hallway called life.
Finally it came clearly.
"Life is a Hallway. Doors will open and close. But the Hallway will remain the same. What will you do in the Hallway?"
Life is one long narrow road. We have been given free will by a loving and compassionate Creator. These choices, or "doors" are what guide us on different paths of life. The choices will be open or closed to us and consistently be changing and visible to everyone else, but the Hallway will always remain the same. The only one who will see you in the Hallway will be God.
So what will you chose to do in the Hallway?
"Love is Patient. Love is Kind."
