"In the Beginning God created the heavens and the Earth!" Happy Earth Day! People celebrate this day in many ways, some clean up road sides, children in schools color pictures and some go out and rescue animals from poor environments. All these service opportunities are a great way to celebrate the earth. For me though, i celebrate by the verse above. God created this beautiful world that we live in and we should take some time to represent it and make it fruitful.
So few people stand for this Biblical view of Earth day. In fact, so few people stand for any Biblical view point at all on the other 364 days of the year. Dare i go as far as to say: We have put God on the Endangered Species list.
What I mean by this is that we have allowed progressive ideology to indoctrinate of our society while we have turned a blind eye. During World War II when the Nazis were massacring the Jewish nation, our grandparents were so unaware of the happenings till after it was all over. But in today's age with the 24 hour news cycle and social media, there is no excuse from my generations lack of national outrage over the murders of hundreds of Christians by radical Islam extremists. Sure we get all boiled up when a pizzeria in Indiana is attacked by progressives, and we should be. But we continue to allow God to be "hunted" by not addressing Islam as what it is: a non peaceful religion.
So on this Earth Day, remember that "In the beginning" it was God who created the Earth. It was God who formed man out of dust and it is God who has guided the nations to where they are now. But it is man who has put God on the Endangered Species list. The naivety of it is that God needs no protections.
"Love is Patient. Love is Kind."
